I've spent over a decade working with latex — first as a maker, then as a designer, and now as someone who mostly gets to teach other people how to do it too.
The short version
I trained in pattern cutting before I ever touched latex, which turned out to matter — the material forgives almost nothing, and a good pattern is most of the work. I built my first pieces for myself, then for friends, then for a small list of clients, and the atelier grew from there.
These days my work splits three ways: bespoke commissions, teaching, and consulting for brands who are new to the material. I like that mix — it keeps the hands-on work honest and the teaching current.
